WPForms Pro v2.0.3 (+Addons) Plugin

WPForms Pro is a modular drag-and-drop WordPress form builder engineered for rapid lead generation, user surveys, payment collections, and complex multi-page questionnaires. Rather than relying solely on external third-party services, WPForms Pro processes form submissions natively on your server, storing submission records inside dedicated WordPress database tables (wp_wpforms_entries and wp_wpforms_entry_fields) for secure client data management and CSV or Excel exports. Whether embedding forms into visual layouts built with Elementor Pro or integrating contact modules across Divi Theme templates, the builder ensures responsive mobile rendering and seamless form placement without custom shortcode wrappers.

Beyond standard contact fields, the Pro suite provides powerful conditional logic, user registration workflows, file upload handling, signature capture, and offline form persistence. High-traffic sites running CAPTCHA challenges or payment gateways like Stripe and PayPal often experience third-party asset latency; pairing WPForms Pro with script managers like Perfmatters or caching engines like WP Rocket allows developers to defer non-critical validation scripts and load reCAPTCHA or Cloudflare Turnstile assets only on pages where forms are actively rendered. With automated email routing, instant confirmation notifications, and webhook integrations, WPForms Pro delivers an enterprise-grade form infrastructure suitable for any business website.

What’s New (Changelog) in WPForms Pro v2.0.3 (+Addons)

## [2.0.3] - 2026-10-20
### Added
- New Add Other Choice option for the Checkboxes field lets users type their own answer when none of the predefined choices fit.
- Prefill by URL now preselects Checkbox Items, Multiple Items, and Dropdown Items choices when the amount in the link is written in the site currency's format, such as 10,50 or 1,200.00.
- The Form Builder now displays the PayPal Commerce addon name correctly in payment settings and addon install prompts.
- WPForms now logs notifications that aren't sent due to invalid email addresses in the "Send To" field, even when logging is disabled, and logs invalid addresses removed from "Send To" or CC.
- Keyboard shortcuts and the Move Up and Move Down buttons in the Form Builder can now move fields into and out of Layout and Repeater fields.

### Changed
- Improved how the Stripe connection data is stored.
- Updated DOMPurify library to 3.4.15.
- Forms using the older anti-spam honeypot or token check are now automatically upgraded to modern anti-spam protection, with each form's previous version saved as a revision you can restore.
- Failures to start background processes are now recorded if WPForms Logs is enabled.
- Updated the SVG sanitization library for improved security and compatibility with files from older graphic editors.
- Clarified the anti-spam settings in the Form Builder: the modern protection toggle is now labeled "Enable anti-spam protection", the older setting is labeled as legacy, and the note on auto-upgraded forms explains how to switch back.
- The confirmation message now receives focus after an AJAX form submission, so screen readers announce it to visitors.
- Screen readers now announce the actual validation message instead of "Error message" for invalid fields when Modern Markup is enabled.
- Columns on the Forms Overview page were reordered, and the Tags and Author columns are now hidden by default.
- The weekly Email Summary now shows key stats with week-over-week trends, a breakdown of entries by form, and highlights tailored to the site's activity and setup.

### Fixed
- The Export button on Tools > Export remained enabled after all forms were deselected on WordPress 5.5.
- Checkbox and Multiple Choice icons were missing on the entry Print Preview page, and check marks overlapped choice text.
- The Camera field did not fully follow the form's style settings: the selected file name used a fixed gray color, and the capture button took its border radius and size from the Button settings instead of the Field settings.
- Clicking a field in the Form Builder could open a different field's settings in forms built with WPForms AI. Saving then merged the two fields into one and moved the survivor up the form.
- In the Form Builder, toggle options of a Map field responded to clicks and opened a warning popup while the field was disabled with the "Setup Required" label.
- Undo and Redo in the Form Builder did not restore the Show/Hide action at the top of Conditional Logic blocks in a field's Smart Logic settings, Notifications, and Confirmations.
- Removed provider connection or settings block could not be redone in the Form Builder.
- Fields placed inside Layout and Repeater columns were moved out of their container in the Form Builder preview after applying AI Form Edit changes.
- The Visual tab of a Content field went blank and a browser console error appeared when switching between the Text and Visual tabs after a WPForms AI editing prompt reordered the form's fields.
- Marking entries as Not Spam through the Bulk Actions dropdown in the Entries list only changed their status and skipped the notification email and other post-submission actions that the row-level Not Spam link performed.
- A fatal error could occur on entries-related screens.
- Stripe Custom Meta kept the empty Meta Key field highlighted after undoing the Object Type and Meta Value selections in the Form Builder.
- A smart tag with a long label overflowed its field in the Form Builder and could not be fully reached with the keyboard; it is now truncated with the full label shown on hover.
- A browser console error was thrown when conditional logic re-applied a default value to a field with an input mask, such as the Address field's ZIP code.
- Fields with validation errors were not marked with the aria-invalid attribute for screen readers after form submission, only after leaving an individual field.
- The standard Submit button appeared alongside the PayPal Commerce smart payment buttons in the Form Builder preview after undoing and redoing an AI Smart Form Editor change that removed the PayPal Commerce field.
- PayPal Payments remained switched off and displayed a notice to enable it again after undoing the removal of a PayPal Commerce field.
- Removing a PayPal Commerce field added three steps to the Form Builder undo history instead of one, causing two subsequent undo presses to do nothing.
- The Capture With Your Camera button of a Camera field placed in a 3-column Layout field overflowed its column on phones in landscape orientation.
- Payment notices appeared in the Form Builder while the AI Smart Form Editor was applying changes, including after it deleted the payment field the notice referred to.
- In the Form Builder, pressing Undo after removing a tag from a multi-select option (such as Allowed Coupons) cleared the entire selection instead of restoring the removed tag when that removal was the first change made to the option.
- Constant Contact (V3): mapping an individual Address field subfield to the Street Address contact field silently dropped the address instead of sending the selected subfield value.
- Submitting a form with a Dropdown Items or Multiple Items payment field failed with a fatal error instead of showing the "Invalid payment option" message when the field received a malformed value.
- The forms and payments tables on the Dashboard page were missing space below their last row in Firefox.
- Icon Choices did not follow the button background color in forms using Modern Markup on WordPress 5.5.
- The page shifted horizontally when the What's New modal was opened or closed on WordPress 5.5.
- Payment field prices could be displayed incorrectly when the site currency was switched to another currency.
- A fatal error occurred on the WPForms > Settings pages when product education was disabled by another plugin.
- The Embedded Post/Page Title smart tag did not always display its value as plain text, so unsafe markup could appear in a form.
- Sites where the Dashboard data tables had not been created yet ran an extra database check on every page load, which could overload large multisite networks after an upgrade.
- Modern anti-spam protection could be missing from a form when a page had several forms with different anti-spam settings.
- A browser console error related to the Content field appeared in the Form Builder on some server configurations.

How to Install and Safely Upgrade WPForms Pro

Step 1: Download and Extract the WPForms Pro Package

Download the latest package from GPLAstra. If the download archive contains both the core wpforms.zip and an Addons folder, unzip the bundle on your local computer to access the individual plugin files.

Step 2: Upload and Activate WPForms Pro

In your WordPress admin dashboard, navigate to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. Choose the core wpforms.zip archive, click Install Now, and then activate the plugin. If you have the free version of WPForms active, deactivate it before activating Pro.

Step 3: Install Desired WPForms Add-ons

Each additional functionality (such as Stripe, Surveys & Polls, User Registration, or Form Abandonment) comes as an individual add-on zip file. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin and install only the specific add-ons your project requires to keep server resource usage optimal.

Step 4: Configure Anti-Spam and Email Settings

Navigate to WPForms > Settings > CAPTCHA to enable Cloudflare Turnstile, Google reCAPTCHA v3, or standard honeypot protection. To ensure 100% reliable notification deliverability, configure an SMTP provider such as WP Mail SMTP rather than relying on default PHP mail.

Step 5: Safely Upgrading to Future Releases

When newer versions are published on GPLAstra, download the updated archive. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, select the new wpforms.zip file, and click Replace current with uploaded. Your created forms, conditional settings, and database entries are stored safely in your WordPress database and remain fully intact.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do I need the free version of WPForms installed to run WPForms Pro?

No. WPForms Pro is a standalone full replacement for the free version. Deactivate and remove the free version to prevent plugin conflicts and duplicated admin menus.

Will upgrading WPForms Pro delete my existing forms or submission entries?

No. All forms and entries are stored in your MySQL database within wp_posts and dedicated wp_wpforms_* tables. Replacing plugin files never alters or deletes your existing database submissions.

How do I install the included WPForms Pro add-ons (Stripe, Surveys, User Registration)?

Because direct one-click add-on downloads in the WPForms dashboard connect to external license verification servers, all add-ons are provided as individual zip archives inside the download package. Upload them manually via Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.

Why are form notification emails not delivering to my inbox?

WordPress servers often fail default PHP mail() delivery due to spam filters or lack of SPF/DKIM verification. Installing an SMTP plugin (like WP Mail SMTP or Post SMTP) configured with SendGrid, Brevo, or Google Workspace solves delivery failures immediately.

Can I embed WPForms into Elementor, Divi, or standard block pages?

Yes. WPForms includes a dedicated Gutenberg block, a native Elementor widget, and shortcodes ([wpforms id="..."]) that work seamlessly inside any builder, including Divi Theme and Elementor Pro.
